Bergmann Associates planned and designed $2.5 million in arterial improvements and urban cultural trail experience-ARTWalk-along a historic urban corridor that travels through the City's "Neighborhood of the Arts".
University Avenue was transformed from a 4-lane facility during the morning and evening peak periods to a permanent 2-lane facility with protected on street parking throughout the project corridor. A detailed traffic analysis using Synchro was completed to assess and communicate the impacts of the proposed "road diet" on the system of coordinated intersection traffic signals.
