For four decades, Bergmann architects, engineers and planners have been providing comprehensive design and engineering solutions for clients across the United States. The vision that continues to guide the firm’s direction was shaped by the four original founders, Don Bergmann, Brian Dougherty, John Murray and Gary Olin, who believed in a focus on client success, excellence and innovation.
Bergmann started as a civil and transportation design company and continues to deliver award-winning projects in these areas. Over the years, the firm transformed to include experts in the areas of planning, environmental, architecture and interior design, providing a full-service suite of solutions and gaining national recognition in these fields.
This growth opened doors to new opportunities, leading to initial expansion into Philadelphia and Buffalo. Today, Bergmann’s team of 450+ professionals works out of 15 office locations across the Northeast, Midwest and Atlantic regions of the U.S., servicing clients across the country.
Don Bergmann and the other founders created an environment where people realized their potential and could apply themselves creatively, pushing boundaries and providing innovative solutions for client projects. This mindset is the foundation of Bergmann’s success to this day, focusing on the firm’s five core values of People, Integrity & Ethics, Service, Teamwork & Collaboration and Excellence.
Now, in its 40th year, Bergmann continues to be a trusted advisor to clients across the country, providing critical support and advisement on projects that have a positive and lasting impact on communities and society as a whole.
