Bergmann announces support of the Rochester American Heart Association’s 2021 Heart Run & Walk
National architecture, engineering and planning firm Bergmann formally announced its sponsorship of the Rochester American Heart Association’s 2021 Heart Run & Walk. This is the 10th year of Bergmann’s support and the 31st year for the Heart Run & Walk, which will take place on June 10, 2020.
For the past decade Bergmann has actively supported the Rochester American Heart Association through corporate sponsorship, fundraising activities and events, a Heart Walk & Run Team and executive leadership.
Bergmann’s former CEO Tom Mitchell served as Chair in 2009, Andrew Raus, SVP, served on the executive committee from 2015 to 2020, and current President and CEO Pietro (Pete) Giovenco served as Chair in 2020 and is continuing his involvement on the executive committee in 2021.
“Personal health and wellbeing is more important than ever and the AHA embodies what we hope to encourage among our team members and our communities as a whole, healthy lifestyles and awareness,” states Pietro (Pete) Giovenco, Bergmann President and CEO. “If we can help just one more person know the signs of heart disease, take the right action during a stroke, reach for healthy food choices, or access mental health services, then we’ve succeeded. The AHA’s mission is one that impacts us all and one that we are proud to support again this year.”
As part of their efforts Bergmann is forming an internal committee of “heart health champions” who will lead events and activities across the company to engage team members in adopting healthy habits, raise awareness of heart-related health issues and raise funds for the AHA. These efforts will culminate at the 2021 Heart Run & Walk on June 10th.
