Bergmann claims top spot on RBJ's Engineering Firms list

National architecture, engineering and planning firm Bergmann is proud to be ranked as the #1 Engineering Firm in Rochester by the Rochester Business Journal (RBJ), an honor held for several years.

The List, published annually by the RBJ, ranks firms by number of licensed engineers and can be viewed in full below. At the time of the list publication, Bergmann's Rochester headquarter has 60 licensed engineers with 124 technical support staff for a total of 204 local employees. The firm also has 15 other locations across the Atlantic, Midwest and Northeast regions.

In a recent article from the RBJ, Bergmann president and CEO Pietro (Pete) Giovenco sat down with Kevin Oklobzija to discuss the firm's plans to "ride a wave of innovation over the next 40 years.” While the firm looks ahead to new advances in technology and in how they design and build, there is one constant that trumps all - the people.

"All the technology and all the gizmos in the world still don't replace the people side of it," Giovenco said. "The successful companies, and hopefully we are one of them, are the companies that continually invest in their people and make them the main reason they exist. Our people are our only resource and our only asset."
