Bergmann Associates Elects Three Employee Board Members at Annual Meeting

Bergmann Associates held its annual shareholder meeting this past week where three employees were elected to the Board of Directors, representing the interests of the 124 employee shareholders of the privately-held company. Kelly Thompson, PE, practice leader, Infrastructure Division, New York Region; Andrew J. Raus, AICP, vice president, Buildings Division, New York Region; and Sean O’Rourke, AIA, LEED AP, vice president, Buildings Division for the Atlantic Region, received the most votes among the eligible candidates.

Kelly Thompson, PE, practice leader, Infrastructure Division, New York Region

Thompson is a professional engineer, based in the Bergmann Associates Buffalo regional office, who focuses on the design and construction of highways, bridges, and traffic signal installations. She is a specialist in the coordination of traffic signal control systems, electronic enforcement and traffic surveillance systems.

Sean O’Rourke, AIA, LEED AP, Principal of Design

O’Rourke is an experienced architect, based in Philadelphia, with an extensive background in commercial and retail design. He was recently named vice president of the Buildings Division for the Atlantic Region which includes the Bergmann Associates offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Conshohocken, Pennsylvania; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Jacksonville, Florida.

Andy Raus, AICP Vice President, Northeast Buildings

Raus is a planner, based in the Bergmann Associates Rochester office, who has led numerous urban, rural and regional planning initiatives throughout his career. He was recently named vice president of the Buildings Division for the New York Region which includes the Bergmann Associates locations in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany and Horseheads.

Bergmann Associates’ Board of Directors reflects the professional make-up of the company with architects, engineers and planners. The board comprises nine members who serve three-year terms. Members can serve a second three-year term if nominated and elected by the shareholders. Raus was selected to serve a second term in this election.
