Bergmann Expands Michigan Presence with New Grand Rapids Office

National architecture and engineering firm Bergmann Associates has now opened a second Michigan office to better serve clients in the Grand Rapids area and West Michigan region. As part of Bergmann’s Midwest division, the Grand Rapids office addition brings the total employee base in Michigan to 70 professionals.

“We’ve been committed to Michigan for 20 years now, starting with a staff of two and growing into the full-service operation you see today,” said Rick Chelotti, PE, senior vice president for Bergmann Associates’ Midwest region. “We’re excited to make a brick and mortar commitment to Grand Rapids, enabling us to serve our existing clients and expand with new clients across the region.”

Bergmann Associates has already completed signature projects in the Grand Rapids region, including Amtrak’s “The Rapid” passenger rail station, the Home for Veterans Bridge and transportation initiative the “Fix on I-196.” The team in Grand Rapids includes project managers, designers, architects and engineers who will engage in a range of projects from innovative building designs to large-scale transportation initiatives.

“Grand Rapids has always been good to us,” said Pete Giovenco, PE, president of Bergmann Associates and a participant in the recent office ribbon cutting. “We opened an office here to demonstrate our continued commitment to our regional clients, as well as to attract top professionals in this area to work at our firm.”

The company recently held a grand opening at its new office, located at 560 5th St. NW in Grand Rapids, in partnership with the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce. Bergmann Associates’ Midwest division also includes offices in Lansing, Michigan and Toledo, Ohio. Bergmann Associates also has a significant presence across New York State and throughout the Atlantic region of the U.S.
