Bergmann hires Audie Bates as Senior Project Manager & Architect

Audie Bates, AIA, LEED AP, BD+C, has joined national architecture, engineering and planning firm Bergmann as a senior project manager and architect in the firm’s Toledo office. Bates has 43 years of comprehensive architecture experience, from planning and programming through design and construction administration phases, in commercial, industrial, governmental, higher education and religious buildings.

Bergmann’s clients will benefit from Bates’ proven experience in translating immediate and long-term client needs, managing budget and scope agreements, maintaining milestone and deadline requirements, and managing client information and project progress. Past projects to which Bates has lent his expertise include the West District Facility feasibility study in Michigan’s Monroe County; the Lucas County Engineer Office and Road Maintenance Complex in Toledo; the design and construction of a 24-hour inpatient hospice facility at the Hospice of Lenawee, Michigan; and several projects for higher-education institutions throughout northwest Ohio.

In addition to his work on myriad projects throughout the Midwest and beyond, Bates is an active member of several professional organizations. He serves as a commission member for the City of Monroe Historic District and a building safety professional for the International Code Council, as well as being LEED AP certified based on his extensive experience with sustainable design approaches in both new construction and rehabilitation projects.
