Bergmann hires CPA Andrew Nisbet as new Controller

Andrew Nisbet, CPA, has joined national architecture, engineering and planning firm Bergmann as controller. Based in the Rochester, New York, headquarters, Nisbet oversees the firm’s financial team with responsibilities to provide financial reporting and insights to Bergmann’s executive leadership team. Among Nisbet’s first initiatives as controller is to streamline and automate the firm’s financial functions with the implementation of technology solutions that will improve the experience of Bergmann team members and clients alike.

Prior to joining Bergmann, Nisbet served as director at JC Jones & Associates. In this role he was responsible for fostering positive client relationships, helping drive engagement success by reducing timeline and budget. Nisbet also conducted in depth process reviews, identifying deficiencies and inefficiencies and developing and implementing time phased action plans, and executed construction project audits to ensure contract integrity through billing and work performed.

“Though Andrew’s role is more internal in nature, his work directly impacts our clients. His previous experience has given him a strong understanding of client relationship management which will lend well to his new role,” continued Lockwood.

Nisbet serves on the board of directors for the Institute of Management Accountants Rochester Chapter. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Alfred University.
