Bergmann hires Marie Carone as Government Practice Leader

National architecture, engineering and planning firm Bergmann has hired Marie Carone, AIA, LEED AP as Government Practice Leader in the firm’s Buffalo, NY office. She brings over 20 years of experience in architecture as both project architect and project manager, is professionally registered as an architect in New York, and is an accredited LEED AP professional.

Marie’s unique resume of large-scale design projects, leadership, skillset and design perspective will enhance our buildings and architectural capabilities,” said Kimberly Baptiste, AICP, Vice President Northeast Buildings for Bergmann. “Her expertise supports our efforts to grow our architectural business line while strengthening our footprint throughout the western New York/Buffalo and northeast regions.

In this role, Carone will oversee a growing team of 20 employees across multiple offices in the areas of Architecture, GIS, Landscape Architecture and Planning, and will provide strategic guidance for business development and projects within the practice.

Carone has successfully managed large complex projects through all phases, from planning, pre-design and programming through design and construction. She has experience working with a variety of clients such as public agencies, governmental organizations, consultant and private clients in a range of project types that include workplace, industrial, commercial, healthcare, and cultural. She has also successfully managed multiple projects with an historic preservation component. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Radford University and a Master of Architecture degree from the SUNY at Buffalo and has served on the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy Board of Trustees and AIAWNY Board of Directors.
