The year-over-year increase was driven by a strong portfolio of work across multiple markets, including highway, rail and transit, commercial retail and hospitality, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries.
Bergmann has moved up in the rankings on several regional and sector-specific lists published by Engineering News-Record (ENR). The lists are compiled annually by the leading industry publication, comparing companies’ revenue in 2020 to revenue from the previous year.
The national firm climbed 16 spots on the ENR Mid-Atlantic Top Design Firm List based on design-specific revenue. In the New York list, Bergmann climbed 3 spots to rank no. 27. Among Midwest firms Bergmann rose seven spots to no. 75 and ranked 16th overall in the state of Michigan. In ENR’s Sourcebook of industry-specific rankings, Bergmann ranked no. 24 in retail and 30 in manufacturing design firms.
In 2020 Bergmann remained focused on continuing to deliver the highest quality service to clients. The increase in ranking can be attributed to Bergmann’s growth in a number of areas, including work with A.C. Marriott and other regional brands, PennDOT, FDOT and work with leading rail and freight suppliers, Bergmann has also experienced exponential growth in core markets including the Science, Technology & Industry practice, which benefitted from an influx in investment by clients in the manufacturing, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
