Bergmann Takes Home Two Rochester Business Journal Reader Rankings Awards

At the 2018 Reader Rankings Gala, co-hosted by The Daily Record and Rochester Business Journal (RBJ), Bergmann was announced as the RBJ Reader Rankings award winner in the “Best Architectural Firm” and “Best Engineering Firm” categories. Bergmann also ranked in the top three “Best Overall Company to Work for (76-250 employees)” – based on Bergmann’s employment size locally of approximately 200.

Bergmann was among more than 3,800 nominations that were collected during the nomination period in March. The winners were determined by more than 46,000 votes cast from April 30 to May 14. Nominations and votes were gathered in more than 80 categories related to top employers; education; entertainment; finance, accounting and insurance; general business; health care; legal services; real estate; and technology.

In 1980, the original seven founders started Bergmann in Rochester’s Terminal Building at 65 West Broad Street. Over the past 38 years, the national architecture, engineering and planning firm has grown to include more than 185 Rochester-based employees and more than 400 employees total in its 11 offices nationwide. Today Bergmann’s 60,000 square foot corporate headquarters resides on the second floor of Tower280 at Midtown.
