National architecture, engineering and planning firm Bergmann started the new year by announcing four major infrastructure project wins in the Buffalo/Niagara region. The projects, spanning Erie, Niagara and Cattaraugus counties, represent several million dollars in construction work across the area. Bergmann will collect nearly $1 million in fees for their work in areas such as surveying, bridge and highway design, environmental permitting and topographic studies.

“Our infrastructure team worked hard to pull together these wins that will improve our local roads and bridges,” said Kevin Miller, Bergmann practice leader, Northeast Infrastructure. “We are excited to be starting off the new year on this positive note, both in the Buffalo office and across Western New York.”

In Erie county, Bergmann will work on two projects—the Back Creek Road Slope Stabilization and the Trevett Road Slope Stabilization. On both projects Bergmann will provide topographic and rights-of-way surveys, hydraulics, geomorphological studies, highway design and environmental permitting services.

For the Porter Center Road Bridge Replacement in Niagara county, Bergmann will provide a topographic survey, hydraulics, bridge design, highway design and environmental permitting. In Cattaraugus county, Bergmann will provide a topographic survey, hydraulics, bridge design, highway design and environmental permitting for the Dredge Road Bridge (Leon Bridge 40) Replacement.

Bergmann has been providing infrastructure engineering services to the Buffalo/Niagara region since 1992. Bergmann’s infrastructure practice focuses on markets such as roads, bridges, waterways, rail and transit. One notable recent Bergmann project in the region was the Flight of Five Locks rehabilitation in Niagara county, where Bergmann helped restore two Erie Canal locks to their original working condition.
