2021 Albany Best Places to Work

For the second year in a row, Bergmann’s Albany office has claimed a spot as one of the Capital Region’s Best Places to Work!

Bergmann was recognized in the Medium-sized Company category (25-49 regional employees) in this annual ranking presented by the Albany Business Review, one of just 48 companies overall to receive the recognition out of 120 who applied. Winning organizations were selected through a confidential survey process administered by Omaha-based Quantum Workplace in August. To be selected, companies needed enough employees to return the survey AND rate the company highly.

While Bergmann is experiencing banner growth across its entire footprint, the Albany office has been a primary point of the firm’s expansion, doubling the number of team members locally in the last five years to nearly 50 and supporting a growing line of services and portfolio of work. Team members working out of this regional office provide critical design consulting support for projects across the nation, including clients in the industries of rail, highway and transportation, waterway structures, government and municipal, retail/commercial, renewable energy, financial services and pharmaceutical manufacturing, among others.

Bergmann is in the process of redesigning and expanding the office to accommodate this growth and is actively facilitating regional collaboration with team members from Colliers Engineering & Design, a multi-disciplinary engineering and design firm that Bergmann joined earlier this fall.

Our team members here in Albany display the best of our company values and culture and make it fun to come to work every day,” stated Amy Signor, RA, AIA, project manager and member of the office leadership team. “I’m extremely proud to be part of this team and experience the positive energy, collaboration and spirit of entrepreneurialism that’s helped us get to where we are today. This group continues to feel like a family and is something we experience in everything we do together, from design charettes and field work, to our happy hours, holiday activities and giving back to our community.

Congratulations to the entire team!
