Bergmann’s Atlantic Infrastructure Team adds Heather Watkins out of Jacksonville Office

Heather Watkins joined national architecture, engineering and planning firm Bergmann as an assistant project manager - highway, with the firm’s Atlantic Infrastructure team. Watkins will work out of the Jacksonville, Florida office to support Department of Transportation (DOT) projects throughout Bergmann’s footprint, including with FDOT (Florida), PennDOT (Pennsylvania) and MDOT (Michigan).

With 24 years of experience in roadway design and plans production for new construction and rehabilitation projects, as well as design build projects for FDOT and other municipalities, Watkins will support the growth of Bergmann’s highway project portfolio in the region, leading any relevant FDOT projects. Her areas of expertise include pavement design, typical section packages, design variations/exceptions, 3R reports, traffic control plans, signing and pavement markings, Project Development and Environment (PD&E) support, utility coordination support and environmental permitting support.

Watkins is a licensed PE and holds a bachelor’s degree in both civil engineering and architectural engineering, as well as an MBA, from the University of Miami.
