C. Michael Cooper has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors as a Member at Large for the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of New York Eastern Region.

A member of ACEC NY since arriving in Albany back in 2010, Cooper’s Board term will begin on July 1, 2021.

Over the course of the last few years, Cooper, a project manager with Bergmann’s rail and bridge practice, took a hiatus from board memberships to focus on the development of the Northeast Infrastructure group and the growth within the Albany office. Recently, Bergmann was invited to extend its active involvement in ACEC to the Eastern Region, and he felt the timing was right to re-engage in the local engineering community in a new way.

“I’m excited to spend my first term as a Member at Large of the Board, learning more about the organization and contributing to ACEC’s mission of promoting the business interests of its member firms while enhancing the quality and safety of the environment and communities we live and work in,”
said Cooper.
