In a world filled with online shopping competition, brick-and-mortar stores have to create authentic experiences that keep consumers coming back for more.

There's no secret that the way humans shop has changed. From online shopping stores, pop-up shops and other retail experiences, brick-and-mortar stores have been forced to stand out in different ways, including authentic experiences. With a primary focus on retail and commercial projects over the last few years, Bergmann's Sean O'Rourke explains what he believes creates an environment that makes customers come back for more, including "creating interactive encounters with customers by leveraging current and developing technologies."

"Complementing this emphasis on interactive encounters, retailers also entice people into their stores by creating a welcoming and personal environment that can’t be duplicated online," O'Rourke, Vice President of the Atlantic Buildings group, goes on to say.

Thank you to design:retail for this feature!
