National architecture, engineering and planning firm Bergmann celebrated their expansion in the Albany region with a ribbon cutting at their new office space located on Winner’s Circle, just off Wolf Road, on Thursday. The office, designed by Bergmann professionals, incorporates a number of environmentally sustainable features while offering room for the firm to grow in the region. The Capital Region Chamber of Commerce joined Bergmann for the ribbon cutting, which was followed by an open house reception and tours of the office.
“We’ve been delivering successful projects in the Capital Region for more than 13 years now,” said Pete Giovenco, president and CEO of Bergmann. “We consider this expanded new location a demonstration of our commitment to connecting with our people, clients, projects and the community in this region.”
Bergmann has 19 employees locally specializing in architecture, engineering and planning across a number of markets such as government, transportation, retail and finance—and plans to add more staff soon. Bergmann professionals have worked on signature projects in the region such as the Walkway over the Hudson, the renovations at the Empire State Plaza and the redesign of the SUNY Albany Student Center. Recently, the Bergmann team received a three-year term contract with the State of New York Office of Government Services for architecture projects across the state.
“Bergmann's growth in this region is exciting, said Mark Eagan, president and CEO of the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce. “We are happy to celebrate this new chapter with an important community partner that will provide job opportunities along with delivering sustainable building and infrastructure solutions that will stand the test of time.”
The Bergmann Albany office is part of the Northeast region for the firm, which also spans the Atlantic and Midwest regions of the United States. Bergmann has other Northeast offices in Buffalo, Horseheads, Rochester and Syracuse, N.Y.
For nearly four decades, Bergmann architects, engineers and planners have been delivering results to clients across the United States and Canada. This team of more than 400 professional and technical staff spans the Northeast, Midwest and Atlantic regions. Bergmann develops connections with partners and communities to create dynamic, creative solutions that will stand the test of time, while promoting environmental and functional sustainability. Projects in the Bergmann portfolio range from signature buildings and commercial developments to critical transportation infrastructure and community planning.
