Hilton announced the debut of the hotel’s latest Canopy brand property in New Orleans, just in time for the 2022 Final Four Championships. The 14-story, 176-room hotel is located in the former Oil and Gas Building on Tulane Avenue. The building was constructed in 1959 and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
Development company NewcrestImage engaged Bergmann to provide architectural design services to transform the vacant office building into a destination that honors the building’s past while connecting guests with the lively culture of the surrounding neighborhood.
This hotel is the latest example in Bergmann’s portfolio of hospitality design work, which also includes AC Hotel by Marriott in Miami, FL and Philadelphia, PA, 1715 Rittenhouse boutique hotel in Philadelphia and The Commons, a Canopy hotel in Ithaca, NY.
