Honoring Pietro (Pete) V. Giovenco, Bergmann's former President & CEO

December 3, 2021 marked Pietro (Pete) V. Giovenco’s final day with national architecture, engineering and planning firm Bergmann, and the end of a remarkable 32-year career with the firm.

As we move forward onto the next exciting phase of our journey as Colliers Engineering & Design, we reflect on all he contributed to help us get to where we are today. In honor, we’ve prepared this short video that you can watch here, or below.

Giovenco came on board when the firm was still Bergmann Associates, starting as a civil engineer and working his way up to serve as the firm's first Chief Operating Officer and eventually on to be the firm's third Chief Executive Officer. He put people first, frequently stating that, if you focus on your people and your clients, profits will follow. Giovenco led the firm through the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic and through an agreement to join together with Colliers Engineering & Design, which bring exciting new opportunities to the firm's people and clients.

Bergmann's leadership and employee base thank Pete for his years of dedication and leadership to the company, clients and people, and wish him all the best as he moves on to the next chapter in his personal journey.
