Muscarella J resume

Jennie Muscarella, Esq., has been named Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Chief Legal Officer (CLO) of national architecture, engineering and planning firm Bergmann. Based in the firm’s Buffalo, New York office, Muscarella joined Bergmann in 2017 as Director of Organizational Development and General Counsel, supporting HR and corporate development initiatives across the firm. As CHRO/CLO, Muscarella works closely with Bergmann’s president and CEO Pietro Giovenco to drive forward the company’s commitment to building a culture of diversity and inclusion, high-quality performance, and unmatched client service.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Muscarella plays an integral role in strengthening Bergmann’s reputation as a preeminent architectural/engineering firm. Her contributions to the firm have included leading strategic planning around diversity and inclusion, developing Bergmann’s values model that serves as the foundation for the company’s culture, and launching a new performance development and goal setting process. Additionally, she has helped the firm navigate the increased risks associated with today’s business complexity, which have only increased with the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. In her role, Muscarella interfaces regularly with operations and corporate departments including finance and marketing and communications, which she indicates as being key to the success of any initiative in which she takes part.

“Jennie’s strategic initiatives have supported a culture and environment that allows her fellow Bergmann employees to readily achieve success. This new title reflects the valuable contributions she’s made to the firm,” said Giovenco. “We appreciate her steadfast leadership, particularly under these unprecedented circumstances, and look forward to the positive impact her efforts will have on Bergmann and our clients.”

Muscarella has 15 years’ experience in executive leadership roles for both U.S.-based and international firms, as well as over two decades of experience in the legal profession. She has presented at various forums, including the American Council of Engineering Companies and American Institute of Architects’ Emerging Leaders Forum.
