Keeping Our People Safe

P Giovenco 02

A message from Pete Giovenco, President and CEO of Bergmann

Dear Clients and Friends,

As we learn more about the spread of Coronavirus in our communities, we want to be transparent about the steps we’re taking as a company to protect the health of our employees and clients. We continue to monitor the situation closely and are developing responses aligned with the recommendations of government health organizations, including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.

Bergmann remains focused on doing what we can to protect the health and safety of our people, while continuing to deliver our clients with quality solutions and support with as little disruption as possible.

Our 15 office locations remain fully operational. We have ensured that all are adequately stocked with necessary cleaning and health supplies, including hand sanitizer, hand soap and tissues. We are not admitting any employee or guest who present signs of illness, including but not limited to coughing, congestion or fever, or who have traveled to or been in close contact with someone who has traveled to a CDC Level 3 Zone in the last 14 days.

Additionally, we have implemented a “no direct social contact” (i.e. handshakes, hugging) policy, we are limiting gatherings of more than 10 people and following the recommended social distancing of 6 feet. As such, we have postponed or rescheduled a number of meetings and events and are encouraging “virtual meetings” where possible. We will continue to evaluate events on our firm calendar and will communicate other changes appropriately.

Our working hours and work from home policy have been revised to allow for flexibility while continuing to seamlessly serve our clients’ needs. We are staggering our core hours to decrease the number of people in the office at the same time and we have extended our IT capabilities to allow employees to work from home as needed. We see all of this as a natural extension of the collaboration our employees have been doing for years across teams and locations.

We are also immediately ceasing all business-related airline travel. Any travel that is required will be done by driving. For the safety of our employees, if the drive requires more than 6 hours in one direction, we will at minimum require a 2-day travel window to limit the number of hours on the road.

For the past 40 years, Bergmann has built our reputation on client service. We will continue to serve your needs while doing everything possible to protect our people.

Clients with questions about specific project deadlines or details are encouraged to communicate with the Project Manager or Principal for their project. We thank everyone for their flexibility as we all navigate this unprecedented time.

Sincerely,

Pietro (Pete) Giovenco

President and CEO, Bergmann
