Office tenants and commercial property owners in New York can receive a free energy audit from Bergmann’s qualified team of energy professionals through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s (NYSERDA) Commercial Tenant Program. The program offers two tracks of benefits that can save participants up to $50,000 while creating a more comfortable work environment and lowering operating costs.
Bergmann, a national architecture, engineering and planning firm, will offer the benefit of their extensive energy and sustainability expertise to participants in the two-track energy audit program. In the first track, participants receive a free Basic energy analysis. In the High-Performance Track, participants will receive a more comprehensive energy and financial assessment which results in changes to the worksite. Both tracks provide actionable insights, identify savings opportunities, and introduce organizations to technologies that can optimize the energy performance of commercial office facilities. Benefits include more comfortable and healthier spaces, greater productivity, and a safer environment.
Through the Basic Track, participants receive a free analysis of current energy usage, valued at $5,000. Bergmann professionals will provide guidance on operational and capital improvements, calculate implementation cost and savings, and develop a summary report. The High-Performance Track includes a tailored energy-efficiency analysis that delivers an in-depth view of current energy usage and a full breakdown of cost impacts, energy savings over the length of a lease, and other information. Commercial Tenant Program participants can receive between 50 and 100 percent of the cost of a High-Performance Track energy analysis, up to $50,000.
“Supporting NYSERDA’s Commercial Tenant Program reflects our commitment to high-performance buildings that reduce energy costs, minimize environmental impact, and promote employee satisfaction,” said Charles Bertuch, PE, LEED AP, CEM, principal at Bergmann. “We’re proud to support this initiative across New York State and give program participants the information and tools they need to make informed decisions about the future of their spaces.”
The Commercial Tenant Program is open to commercial office tenants and property owners in New York State at any stage of leasing. Bergmann has set up a webpage for potential participants to learn more and request a free analysis at www.bergmannpc.com/commercial-tenant-energy-audit-program.
