National architecture, engineering and planning firm Bergmann has added Tom Hurley, P.E., as a practice leader in its Northeast Infrastructure Group. Hurley will work out of the firm’s Buffalo, New York office, leading the construction inspection practice in the Northeast and providing valuable constructability review and input on infrastructure projects throughout the region. He boasts more than 30 years’ experience in the field.
Hurley has spent most of his career improving infrastructure with New York State agencies. His past roles include 18 years with the NYS Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and, most recently, 11 years with the New York State Thruway Authority (NYSTA) Buffalo Division where he served as the assistant division director for engineering/construction. At the NYSDOT Hurley was assigned to the pavement management, mobility management and statewide hiring teams and at NYSTA he served as division safety chairman, as well as on the Genesee Transportation Council and consultant selection committee.
Hurley holds a bachelor’s in engineering science from Tri-State University and currently resides in East Amherst, New York.
