Robert Fleming, PE, and Rebecca Stump, PE, have been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Association for Bridge Construction and Design (ABCD) Western NY Chapter.

Robert was elected to the role of secretary for a one-year term, after which he will ascend into the role of vice president and then president. Rebecca was elected as a director and will serve in this role for three years. Terms for both roles began on June 1, 2021.

Robert is an assistant project manager with Bergmann’s bridge practice and has been a long-time member of ABCD. In his role at Bergmann, he has led and participated in several structural design projects for the bridge, hydro and waterway structure practices. A few more recent projects include the Stone Road Culvert Replacements for MCDOT, Gypsy Road Bridge for the NYS Parks Service and a gas pipeline bridge.

Rebecca is a project engineer also with Bergmann’s bridge practice. She is a member of ABCD and this is her first board term. She has six years of experience working on a variety of highway and rail bridge projects for NYSDOT, MDOT, NYSTA, NYS&W, and CSX, as well as several counties and municipalities in New York State. Notably, she was an integral part of the design team for the Wisterman Road over Mud Creek project, which recently received an honorable mention award in the under $2M category by the ABCD – WNY Chapter.

“Robert and Rebecca are both extremely dedicated to their profession,” stated Anthony Borelli, PE, Northeast Bridge Practice Leader at Bergmann. “The quality and passion they bring to projects here at Bergmann will easily translate to the ABCD – WNY Board. I am excited to see them making a difference and bringing their skills to the industry in this way and know they’ll provide great value.”
