As part of developing potential wall rehabilitation alternatives, structural stability analyses were performed on the existing river wall to determine the extent or necessity of wall stabilizing measures. The limits of the project are approximately 2000 linear ft of wall, located north of the Ford Street Bridge, along the west side of the Genesee River in Rochester, NY. The wall exhibits numerous concrete deficiencies including erosion of monolith joints and at water lines, spalls, delamination, and extensive cracks. The wall was also analyzed for FEMA compliance under current sediment conditions, and gated dam operations both upriver (Mt. Morris Dam) and down river (Court Street Dam).
