Architectural services for renovations to the day care center at the NYS Office of General Services Harriman Campus in Albany, NY.
Bergmann provided architectural services for renovations to this approximately 28,000 sq. ft. building as part of the New York State Office of General Services (NYSOGS) Harriman Campus. The scope of work included roof replacement over the existing double barrel vaulted concrete deck, replacement of the exterior windows, hazardous materials removals and renovations of the entire first floor. The facility will serve 212 children in the daycare program and 100 children in the after school program. Program spaces included classrooms for infants, toddler, pre-school and pre-k children, multi-purpose room and support spaces for staff. The design was developed in close coordination with the NYS Governor’s Office of Employee Relations for program needs and the NYS Office of Children and Family Services to adhere to licensing requirements.
