A management plan to identify water quality issues, as well as develop strategies to improve and protect water quality.

The Chautauqua Lake Watershed Management Plan identifies the major issues facing water quality in the watershed. The Bergmann team assigned to the project quantified the amount of sediment, nitrogen and phosphorous entering the Lake from a wide range of sources and then identified a series of recommendations and strategies designed to improve and protect water quality. This plan results from collaboration between watershed residents and stakeholders, the project advisory committee and the project team to develop a comprehensive document identifying a series of recommendations and strategies to improve and protect water quality in Chautauqua Lake. The Plan was completed under the New York State Department of State Local Waterfront Revitalization program.
