Engineering services provided as the General Engineering Consultant for CSXT.
Bergmann provides CSXT with scoping, engineering, construction monitoring and administrative management services for all public projects within the states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Delaware and the provinces of Canada. CSXT defines “Public Projects” as engineering and construction projects that can cause impacts to their rail system and operations. The projects are sponsored by federal, state and local agencies as well as local industries. The work involves all aspects of the rail system including rail-highway grade crossings, grade separations, bridges, buildings and siding tracks. We assist CSXT with any project that potentially affects or alters their facilities.
Program/Project Highlights
Bergmann functions as the Owner's Program Manager, coordinating and reviewing the work of other consultants and vendors
Coordinate with railroad employees, state officials and other project sponsors in order to successfully advance projects while minimizing costs and interruptions to CSXT operations
Represent CSXT at meetings with project sponsors and prepare reports with comments and concerns from a railroad perspective
Propose overhead bridge replacement/rehabilitation, under-grade structures, grade crossing modifications, and various other adjacent construction projects
Provide in-depth inspection and load rating
Design and construction services for bridge rehabilitation and/or replacement projects
Track design and construction management for CSXT capital projects
