DeWitt NY Fire Station

DeWitt Fire Station, DeWitt NY

DeWitt Fire Station, DeWitt NY

Designed the complete rebuild for this fire station located in central New York.

The DeWitt, NY, fire station is located on one of the busiest intersections in central New York. This Syracuse suburban fire district hired Bergmann to address the issues with their current structure after 50 years of renovations, additions and leaking roofs. Bergmann was asked to make more of their facility and the site.

Bergmann worked closely with the Dewitt town planning and zoning boards to explore options including renovations, replacements and acquisitions of adjacent properties. As a result, town voters approved the complete demolition of the existing 15,000 SF fire hall and neighboring 15,000 SF underutilized commercial property in order to develop a new facility that will meet community needs for the next 50 years.
