Our team provided architectural design services for a new laboratory and office suite in an existing space.
The Product & Process Engineering Group for medical devices was spread across a total of 6,500 SF of space, in multiple locations on Ethicon's Somerville campus. The goal was to create a single laboratory and office suite to improve group interaction, efficiency and safety.
The suite was created in an existing office space which combined functions into one area, while also offering the client a high-profile demonstration laboratory for visitors and management.
The fit-out required dedicated infrastructure for all lab systems and services, as the functions housed by each of the various labs constantly change due to the range of devices being developed.
