In the wake of a destructive fire on Christmas Eve in 2016, the Town of Irondequoit selected Bergmann to provide architectural and engineering design services to rebuild its Department of Public Works (DPW) facility. The new facility is located on a 12-acre parcel and includes DPW/Highway Administration offices, crew facilities for DPW and highway personnel, conference room, plan room, storage, lunch/break room and emergency operation center. The facility also includes a highway garage, sign shop and pump shop, as well as a vehicle maintenance facility.
“We’re honored that the Town of Irondequoit selected us for this important community project, to help rebuild this essential part of the town infrastructure after a significant loss. Based on our experience with other civic facilities and knowledge of the local market, we’ll deliver a building that meets the town’s unique needs and positions the DPW for a successful future.”
Bergmann President and CEO, Pete Giovenco, PE on being awarded the project
"It is my sincere belief, that without Bergmann involvement this project it would have been much harder to hit the lofty goals established that Christmas Eve night. Producing a first-class facility on time and under budget is on the most difficult things to deliver to client, and even harder when the need is so critical and the time so compressed. Bergmann rose to that challenge and I am thankful to have had the pleasure to work with Bergmann on this project."
