Clinical Manufacturing Facility Expansion

The client required additional production space and plant utilities in order to scale up existing manufacturing operations and supplement their growing start-up business. Bergmann was engaged to develop a multi-stage logistics plan and design 6,400 SF of enabling moves to relocate lab and office space to accommodate the manufacturing area's growth. An additional 6,700 SF of production space was programmed and designed to scale up both size and speed of existing cell expansion and chromatography activities. Integration with the construction team and a fast-track delivery system allowed for a 10-week construction timeline with minimal operations shutdowns.

Architectural services included project management, detailed design, construction documentation and administration as well as BIM modeling with all disciplines for clash detection and rendering complex production equipment
Phase 2 of the 3-phase project was constructed around the existing production space through the shell and existing lab spaces allowing the facility to operate in a “hybrid state”
