Unity at Ridgeway Medical Office Building, Interior Hall, Greece NY
Bergmann designed the core and shell for a new stand-alone medical office building located in Greece, NY.
The 123,230 SF, four-story masonry building is situated on a fully wooded 18-acre parcel. The site is adjacent to the historic Erie Canal, which served as inspiration for the building aesthetics. Finishes, natural wood and stone, were inspired by the canals lock buildings and wooded site, blending the interior with the exterior. The design of the entry ceiling is warm, uplifting and open.
The project earned LEED Silver Certification with the United States Green Building Council. Sustainable design features include geothermal heat pump system, water saving plumbing fixtures, heat reflecting roof membrane, upgraded building envelope insulation, high efficiency windows and recycled interior and exterior building materials among many others.
