Bergmann was awarded a five-year, $2 Million Statewide Dam Inspection and Assessment Contract with the New York State Office of General Services (NYSOGS) in 2018 to support dam inspection and assessment of NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) dams across New York State. This award builds on a seven-year effort of collaboration between Bergmann, NYSOGS and NYSDEC on several existing dams including: Clear Lake, Long Pond, Imperial Mills, and Mirror Lake.
Bergmann has been awarded a five-year, $3 million Statewide Flood Protection & Dam Safety Engineering and Mapping Services Term Contract with the New York State Office of General Services (NYSOGS) to support the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation’s (DEC) Division of Water Program. The DEC Division of Water Program covers floodplain mapping, coastal management, dam safety and flood protection. This award builds on the relationship that Bergmann has cultivated with the OGS and DEC through current OGS contracts for Clear Lake, and the current Division of Water Program Contract. Bergmann is teaming with Michael Baker Engineering to support the floodplain mapping and Atlantic Coastal Management aspects of the program.
Bergmann was awarded a two-year, $5 Million Statewide Dam Safety Engineering Services Contract in mid 2018 with the New York State Canal Corporation (NYSCC). The contract has options to renew for three additional one-year terms. This is Bergmann’s third consecutive dam safety contract with the NYSCC. Likely services under this contract will include emergency action planning, engineering assessments, dam rehabilitation design, dam breaching and inundation mapping and support services relative to 150 miles of water impounding embankments.
Bergmann, as part of the HDR-Bergmann Joint Venture, was selected in 2018 for a $10 Million, 5-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity term contract with the U.S Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) St. Paul District. The contract includes work in the Upper Mississippi River Region across the Rock Island, St. Louis and St. Paul Districts, as well as work for the Inland Navigation Design Center. Bergmann will lead the navigation work (locks, navigation dams and waterfront) and support HDR on flood risk management and ecosystem restoration work. This award follows previous IDIQ awards in St. Paul in 2007 and Rock Island in 2005 and 2009, that extended through 2017.
Bergmann, as part of the three-way Joint Venture with Arcadis and COWI, named the "ABC Dam Safety JV", was selected in 2018 for one of the 3 IDIQ contracts ($60 Million combined capacity over five years) to provide national Dam Safety services for the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) throughout the US. The contract will be administered by the Huntington District and the DSMMCX center of expertise for dam safety. Bergmann will provide roughly 30% of the JV services for the contract, which may include dam safety design and analysis, flood damage reduction engineering, navigation and waterway engineering, as well as miscellaneous other civil works services.
